Meghan Markle has no ‘influence’ on ‘spike in baby names’ – least popular royal name
CasinoSites analysed the most popular baby names worldwide inspired by the Royal Family and revealed the results to Express.co.uk.
After conducting the research, it was found the name Meghan ranked as the least influential out of all the Royal Family names.
The least influential royal name has been declared ‘Meghan’, after Meghan Markle, and was even voted as less popular than the name ‘Anne’.
A spokesperson for CasinoSites told Express.co.uk: “The interest in the Royal Family is not just a phenomenon for the UK, but worldwide.

“It is amazing to see the influence the members of this famous family have on the public and the spike in baby names.
“It will be interesting to watch the influence of these baby names and see where the newest addition – Lilibet – ranks in the future.”
Isla and James were the most popular royal-related baby names in the UK.
Isla Phillips is the granddaughter of Princess Anne, and daughter of Peter Phillips, the Queen’s eldest grandchild.

In the UK alone, Isla ranks as the third most popular baby name, according to ONS data.
James, Viscount Severn, is the youngest child of Prince Edward and Sophie Wessex.
James placed first amongst boys’ names. The name ‘James’ ranked highest on both ONS data for the number of children worldwide with the name and on the number of searches it received on Nameberry, establishing its spot as the most popular Royal Family-related boys’ name.
Charlotte and Lucas were the second most popular baby names of the Royal family, according to the research.
Princess Charlotte is Kate Middleton and Prince William’s second child, and Lucas is the name of Zara Tindall’s youngest child.
Since the birth of Princess Charlotte in 2015, the ranking of her name in worldwide baby names has consistently risen.
According to ONS data, after Princess Charlotte was born, the rank rose from 25 to 12.
The third most popular boys’ name related to the Royal Family was Jack.
The link to the Royal Family and this name is Jack Brooksbank, husband to Princess Eugenie, and father to their first child, August.
George ranked as the fifth most popular baby name worldwide, but second in the UK.
Prince George was born in 2013, and since then, his name has grown in popularity every year.
William ranked higher as a baby name worldwide than Harry.
Princess Beatrice’s new arrival, baby August, was ranked 13th out of the royal baby names worldwide.
