Megan Fox has issued a strongly-worded response after being accused of ‘forcing’ her sons to wear girls’ clothes, lambasting a critic for ‘exploiting’ her child’s gender identity.

The Transformers actor currently only has six posts on her Instagram account, having wiped her profile of past photos recently.

Her latest post addressed a claim made about her three sons, who she shares with her ex-husband Brian Austin Green and who were born in 2012, 2014 and 2016.

The 37-year-old shared a screenshot of a tweet by director and producer Robby Starbuck, in which he included a photograph of Megan walking outside with her children.

In his post, Starbuck wrote: ‘These are Megan Fox’s sons. We used to live in the same gated community and our kids played at the park.

‘I saw 2 of them have a full on breakdown saying they were forced by their mom to wear girls clothes as their nanny tried to console them. It’s pure child abuse. Pray for them.’

Megan hasn’t taken the accusations lightly, sharing a screenshot of the tweet on Instagram and replying to it directly.

‘Hey @robbystarbuck, I really don’t want to give you this attention because clearly you’re a clout chaser but let me teach you something…’ she began.

‘Irregardless of how desperate you may become at any given time to acquire wealth, power, success, or fame – never use children as leverage or social currency. Especially under malevolent and erroneous pretense.’

The Jennifer’s Body star continued: ‘Exploiting my child’s gender identity to gain attention in your political campaign has put you on the wrong side of the universe.

It was recently reported that Megan and rapper Machine Gun Kelly were back on track after split rumours (Picture: Lester Cohen/Getty Images for The Recording Academy)

‘I have been burned at the stake by insecure narcissistic impotent little men like you many times and yet I’m still here,’ she stated.

‘You f***ed with the wrong witch.’

Several of her fans rushed to share supportive messages in the comments, with one writing: ‘TELL EM QUEEN.’

Another said: ‘It’s probably never occurred to anyone that she ACTUALLY listens to her kids regarding what makes them comfortable and happy and sometimes it may mean letting them pick out a girly flower shirt to wear rather than forcing them to do/dress the way society thinks to make ya’ll feel better.’

Someone else penned: ‘I wish you and your family love and peace and space from men like this.’
