Mayweather’s fight with mob boss’ grandson ends in chaos
Floyd Mayweather’s latest return to the ring has ended in farcical circumstances after an all-out brawl between his camp and his opponent John Gotti III’s camp.
Mayweather fought Gotti, the grandson of the former head of the infamous Gambino crime family, in an exhibition which was waved off in the sixth round only for the referee’s decision to kick off the fireworks.
Both men were clearly irked at the referee’s call, with Mayweather saying “let’s go” towards Gotti as the pair sized each other up, while Gotti responded by saying, “f–k you”.

The pair swung some lusty blows at one another before being separated as Mayweather’s camp immediately went at Gotti, pinning him in one corner of the ring.
“I told them!” the referee could be heard saying in the background as the scuffle continued.
“I warned both of them to stop the profanity, both Floyd and I told him (Gotti).”
Gotti came into the fight with Mayweather with a 5-1 professional record as an MMA fighter, and ranked No.702 in Box Rec’s light heavyweight rankings.
Mayweather ended his professional career with a 50-0 record after beating Conor McGregor in 2017, but has fought in a number of exhibition bouts including one against YouTube celebrity Logan Paul in 2021.
