Marvel’s Spider-Man Remastered Standalone Purchase Coming Soon on Sony PlayStation Store
Marvel’s Spider-Man Remastered brought the original game of the series into the world of PlayStation 5 and PC as it was enhanced for the current gen technologies. The remastered version has the complete original game with updated visuals, immersive new features and all three DLC chapters from Marvel’s Spider-Man: The City That Never Sleeps.
However, this upgraded title has not been available for a standalone purchase since it was announced. Only the players that shell out money for Marvel’s Spider-Man: Miles Morales were the ones that could play it. Fortunately, the PlayStation Store has recently announced that Spider-Man Remastered should arrive as a standalone purchase towards the end of May 2023.
We’re celebrating #FreeComicBookDay with a Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 prequel comic, available at participating US retailers on May 6 and later digitally!
Also, Marvel’s Spider-Man Remastered PS5 will be available to purchase separately later this month

Spider-Man 2 Prequel Comic
This announcement came along with another intriguing announcement for Free Comic Book Day. Insomniac Games partnered up with Marvel to bring players a special comic that features the prequel story to its upcoming title, Marvel’s Spider-Man 2.
The story will not only tell us what Peter Parker, Mary Jane and Miles Morales have been up to since the events of the previous game, but also show us how they are balancing life and their responsibilities. The story comes to us from Christos Gage, who was also one of the writers for Marvel’s Spider-Man and artist Ig Guara. Interested players can get the comic digitally through the Marvel Unlimited app or Marvel.com.
