Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 September Release Window Revealed
Insomniac Games, the developers of Marvel’s Spider-Man 2, one of the most anticipated PlayStation titles of 2023, seems to be looking towards a September release window for the game. Recently, it was reported that a September release window for the game was hinted by the actor who plays Venom, now a new report also points towards the same.
Industry Insider Jason Schreier recently spoke about Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 releasing in September when talking about reasons for Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League being delayed to 2024, as the makers needed time to make the game a better experience for the players.

Schreier stated the following reasons: Firstly, 9 months is too less for developers to “change the nature of a game,” the second reason was that the team was asked to delay the release of the title to “polish” the game further. Other reasons include factors affecting the release window, as well as the possibility that “Spider-Man 2 in September could be a factor, too”.
On Suicide Squad…
1) Nine months is not enough time to completely change the nature of a game
2) The team was told that the delay was for polish and not related to the February gameplay showcase
3) Lots of other factors can affect release timing (like the console makers)— Jason Schreier (@jasonschreier) April 13, 2023
Now many have shifted their concerns from Suicide Squad’s release being delayed to Spider-Man 2 releasing in September. Players will now just have to wait for an official announcement and hope that PlayStation can indeed deliver the game in this given release window.

PlayStation had hit it out of the park with Marvel’s Spider-Man in 2018. It was taken a step further with a sequel to the title featuring a new protagonist, Miles Morales, on the now current-gen platform PlayStation 5. Both the games were very well-received as they feature great combat, the best swinging mechanics and, overall, the perfect Spider-Man gaming experience.
Due to the fame and love both the titles got, Sony decided that another instalment to the series should be in the books. They then teased Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 at their State of Play event in 2021.
However, this announcement took the player anticipation to a record high as PlayStation told us that the game would feature protagonists from both titles, Peter Parker and Miles Morales. The two would be put up against one of the most iconic villains of the Spider-Man Franchise, Venom. Now, fans just have to wait for Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 to arrive as soon as possible.
