Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 PS5 Teased By Miles Morales Mo-Cap Actor in Behind The Scenes Photo

Insomniac Games just recently released two high-profile titles on PS5 with Spider-Man Miles Morales and Ratchet and Clank Rift Apart, but it looks like the sequel to 2018’s Marvel’s Spider-Man isn’t far behind in schedule. Nadji Jeter, the motion capture artist for Insomniac’s version of Miles Morales, recently shared an image on social media announcing that Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 has started shooting. Of course, being an unannounced title, the photo was quickly deleted but not long after fans picked up on it.

The sequel to Insomniac Games’ 2018 hit Marvel’s Spider-Man entered entered early development right after the first game’s release, with a separate team working on the Miles Morales spinoff. However, much of Insomniac’s time went towards the PS5 exclusive Ratchet and Clank: Rift Apart, which is a full-length game on the console. With both titles now behind the team, it looks like Spider-Man 2, or whatever it ends up being called, is finally moving full steam ahead.

It should be noted that Insomniac Games was also hiring for a multiplayer project as recently as June, which could point towards the next game after Spider-Man 2 already being in pre-production.

Marvel’s Spider-Man: Miles Morales is now out on PS4 and PS5 with Ratchet and Clank: Rift Apart exclusively available on PS5. The unannounced Spider-Man sequel has now presumably entered the motion capture shooting stage with a tentative release within the next couple of years not far off.
