A teaser image from Marvel Comics heralds a new X-series starring the likes of Nightcrawler, Pixie and Juggernaut, among others.
Marvel Comics is teasing a new addition to its ever-growing lineup of X-Men titles.
The House of Ideas has shared a teaser image featuring a red, monochromatic illustration of a number of mutants, most notably Nightcrawler, Pixie and the Juggernaut. The image seems to suggest these characters will be part of some sort of mutant law enforcement agency, reading, “We keep the peace. We keep the law. We keep the spark.”
Currently, Marvel’s lineup of ongoing X-Men titles includes X-Men, Wolverine, New Mutants, X-Force, S.W.O.R.D., Marauders, Hellions and Excalibur. The limited series X-Men: The Trial of Magneto is also currently active.
Hellions and The Trial of Magneto are slated to conclude this December with issues #18 and #5, respectively. At this time, it is also expected that Marauders and Excalibur with end in December with issues #27 and #26, respectively. Meanwhile, the four-part limited series Inferno is slated to launch later this month and will serve as something of a finale to writer Jonathan Hickman’s X-Men run. That said, Marvel also recently launched a digital-only title from Hickman and artist Declan Shalvey titled X-Men Unlimited.
