The milestone issue, arriving in June, is written by Zeb Wells and illustrated by Ed McGuiness. While details are scarce, the clipping mask-style teaser image sees Spidey battling an unknown villain in a green suit with features and tentacles.
The Amazing Spider-Man #900 arrives shortly after Marvel’s upcoming relaunch of the title for Spider-Man’s 60th anniversary from Wells and John Romita Jr. “Spider-Man doesn’t turn sixty every year,” editor Nick Lowe said at the time, “and we are going BIG with this run cramming it with the biggest WTF moments Spidey has ever had. Zeb and JRJR will go down in history as one of the best creative teams ever!”
“I’ve waited my entire career to work with John Romita Jr.,” Wells added. “To team up with him on Amazing Spider-Man for the character’s 60th anniversary is so exciting words can’t describe it. We’re gonna have a blast!”
The Amazing Spider-Man #900 is written by Zeb Wells and illustrated by Ed McGuinness. The issue goes on sale in June from Marvel Comics.
