Martin Lewis reveals how you can save 30 PERCENT off your shopping bill immediately

Speaking to BBC Radio 5 Live, Martin Lewis gave some recommendations on how people can save “a substantial” amount of money on their shopping bill.

Martin explained: “When you go into your supermarket, you drop down one brand level.

“And if you do that on everything, you would save around 30 percent on your shopping.”

He continued: “It is slightly different to Aldi and Lidl because they have limited brands.

“But this is at your Tesco and your Sainsbury’s.

DON’T MISS:

“And I do think people tend to look at the packaging rather than the actual taste.

“So don’t make the assumption that is not the same thing,” he said.

“There are many cases where the own brands are made at exactly the same factory.

“They tend to have a slightly different salt and sugar content but they are often made at the same factory by the same people and at the same time.

A social media user asked Martin Lewis: “What are your high-end habits?”

“The opposite of the normal money-saving philosophy on here.

“I should start by declaring some of my own, loo roll.

“I don’t want that scratchy paper stuff, I’m willing to pay more for something soft on my buttock cheeks and cola.

“When you go for the really cheap stuff, it really doesn’t taste the same.”

Another social media user suggested: “Never buy cheap bin bags, lesson learned.”
