Actor-host Markki Stroem seems to have enjoyed immensely his latest hosting chore for the LGBTQ+ community.

With great pride, Stroem recalled his wonderful moment as a host in a Pride PH Festival event that gathered thousands of LGBTQ+ members.

In an Instagram post Sunday, June 25, Stroem posted photos and a short video of his hosting chores.

“50,000 strong! Hosted a primetime slot of QC #PridePH with gorgeous @dragdenph winner @naiablack_,” he said in his caption.

“What a turnout with some of the most wonderful and heartfelt guests including the one and only @iceseguerra,” he added.

Stroem is grateful to the organizers of the show for putting up some sort of a tribute to the Pride community.

“Wanted to say a huge thank you to all the volunteers and ICONS who made this event happen!” he said.

But more than this, Stroem is glad that there’s a new law in Quezon City that protects same- sex partners’ rights.

“Was able to have a selfie with my first co-host @greynelized from Side-B and the woman of the hour @mayorjoybelmonte and incredibly thankful to have witnessed the passing of a new law to protect same sex partners in QC! We LOVE YOU MAYOR JOY!” he said.

“Big shout out to direk @iamrodafrog for this momentous event! Spread LOVE #PridePH #LoveLaban. Happy Pride y’all! #lgbtqia,” he added.

In the past, Stroem had the opportunity to play gay characters not once but twice.

He was Bianca Duran, “a Non-Binary Drag Queen who saves their Drag Family by becoming a Drag Delivery Girl in Baguio” in “My Delivery Gurl.”

He also played the character of Mark Anthony Handang, “a probinsyano caretaker, masculine and a representation for all that is good in the world” in the Boys’ Love show “Love at the End of the World.”

In his catwalk debut during the Arab Fashion Week, Stroem wore platform heels and an underwear in an androgynous ensemble.
