Mark Wright says ‘no one knows’ truth about marriage with wife Michelle

Mark Wright has blasted claims that he does not spend quality time with his wife Michelle Keegan, after speaking on headlines that depicted the pair “rarely” seeing each other and said “no one knows” what goes on behind closed doors in their marriage.

He told Daily Mail: “Do you know what, whenever there’s a picture of us together people will say ‘rare picture of Mark and Michelle’ or ‘Mark and Michelle reunite after time apart’ we just don’t tell everyone when we do spend quality time together.

“I could be in the house with Michelle for two weeks, but no one will know that because I’m not necessarily posting about it.

“We spend plenty of quality time together and we’ve had plenty of weekends away. We have got stuff booked up.

“We spend quality time together just like any other relationship and I’m not just saying that… we genuinely do.”

The couple, who married in 2015, are currently in Ibiza together, enjoying a break from their hardworking careers.

Hitting the pause button is something Mark admitted he finds difficult over fears he could one day lose his job and everything he knows could come crashing down.

The former reality star shot to fame on The Only Way is Essex before turning to TV and radio presenting.

But Mark had confessed that the trauma he faced as a child has led him to believe he’ll lose his own fortune someday.

Speaking with Spencer Matthew on the Big Fish podcast, the 36-year-old explained the struggles his father went through when they lost everything.

He shared that when his dad lost their money, they were forced to sell their home and moved into a flat before his parents and siblings ended up staying separately with different relatives.

“I’ve always believed in my heart, I’m gonna lose it all one day and I can’t get it out of my head,” Mark candidly shared.

“I watched my dad go from pretty wealthy when we were kids, and he lost everything.”

Sharing what happened, he went on: “It happened between the age of six to eight or nine, and even at such a young age. I was so aware of it, whereas my sister and brother weren’t really.

“They were more oblivious and just thinking we were leaving our big house and going into a one-bedroom flat and then having no home and living separately with our nans and granddads because we couldn’t afford a house.”

However, Mark has since gone on to find great success and now lives with wife Michelle, 36, in a spectacular Essex mansion that the pair recently renovated.

And now, after years of juggling a long-distance relationship, he and the former Coronation Street actress Michelle plan
on staying put.

Opening up about how thrilled he is with the lavish pad, Mark says, “I’m loving it. I hope it’s my forever home. It feels incredible.”
