Mandakini shot to fame with this Raj Kapoor classic years ago but then seemingly faded away from the public eye after doing a spate of films in the ’80s and ’90s. Today E Times exclusively brings out the news that the actress is planning a comeback.

E Times spoke to one of her managers and it is confirmed that the actress is surely planning a comeback and looking for central characters in films or web series. She has already started reading some scripts and has even invited people for narrations. Now the actress has to just pick the best one for her comeback.

Mandakini’s brother also spoke to the portal and said that it was he who pushed his actress-sister to join back films. When Mandakini visits Durga Pujo in Kolkata there is a huge crowd gathered to meet the actress, this made her realize that there is still fan-following for the actress. Mandakini has done films in Hindi, Bengali and even in South industry. The actress has done almost 48 films in 17 years of her career and was last seen in a Bengali film in 2002 titled Se Amar Prem.

Mandakini was offered a role in TV’s hit series Choti Sardarni, however the actress rejected the role and asked the makers to take on Anita Raj, who’s currently playing the role. Well, now we can’t wait and watch what this beautiful actress will be offering us on the big screen.
