Manchester United are still interested in signing goalkeeper David Raya with Tottenham’s reluctance to meet Brentford’s asking price stalling the move.

Tottenham are thought to be in pole position to sign the Spaniard as they seek a replacement for Hugo Lloris.
Raya has already agreed personal terms with the north London side but Spurs have so far been unwilling to meet Brentford’s £40million asking price, a development that leaves the door open for United to move for the shot stopper.
The Telegraph report the Manchester club remain interested in bringing Raya to Old Trafford and while Erik ten Hag is thought to be prioritising the signing of a striker and a midfielder, he also wants to bring in a new goalkeeper before the start of the new season.
United’s interest comes amid ongoing uncertainty over David de Gea, whose contract is set to expire at the end of the month.
He is thought to have verbally agreed a new deal on reduced terms to extend his stay at United but ‘tempting offers’ from Saudi Arabia that could yet play a role.
United are also interested in signing Porto goalkeeper Diogo Costa with former captain Gary Neville insisting signing a new goalkeeper should be viewed as just as urgent as signing a striker this summer.
‘You have got to start with a centre forward and a goalkeeper,’ Neville told Metro.co.uk.
‘If you don’t have those two positions fixed in a football team you are massively struggling.
‘Manchester United are massively struggling particularly up front but it has come to the time where they have to get a top goalkeeper.
‘That Cup final [against City] said it to us all. I don’t like mentioning it too much but the second goal shouldn’t have gone in the back of the net.
‘The reality of it is, David de Gea has had a great career at Manchester United, he has been a fantastic goalkeeper.
‘But now is the time for him to be challenged and get someone in to be that no1.’
