Man reveals very unusual suncream hack – and not everyone is convinced
A MAN has baffled people online with his very unusual suncream “hack”.
Hot sunny days have returned with the summer months, ramping up the need to apply sun lotion.
However, one man has come up with a unique way of creaming up before he goes out, that has left some people feeling very confused.
Tiktoker Tommy (@viajante_mundo) has built up a following by showing people everyday household hacks that can save them money.
While his videos are often greatly appreciated, his sunscreen hack wasn’t quite so well received.
The hack involved adding cream to an ice cube tray and freezing them for later on.
In the video, he is seen removing one of the frozen cream cubes from the tray and rubbing it on his arm.
The footage has been seen more than six million times, with most people unconvinced by the method.
One wrote: “Or, hear me out. Bring the bottle with you.”
Another said: “It’s a better hack just use from the bottle.”
A third added: “How is this a hack? This would make it harder and take longer to rub in.”
Even sunscreen company Nivea, whose products Tommy is seen using in the video, got in touch to tell him he probably shouldn’t be freezing their suncream.
They said: “Thanks for using Nivea. we recommend to use in normal temperature.”
There are some items that can help people properly apply their sun lotion during the summer.
Tiktoker and parent Shannon Doherty (@athomewithshannon) revealed the clever product she uses that lets her know when it’s time to re-apply cream on her kids when they’re playing outside.
She called the product “the best mum hack for the beach of all time”.
In a video she showed how she uses Spot My UV stickers, which show when it’s time for another layer of sunscreen.
In the footage, she explained how the little round stickers work on days out at the beach.
She said: “Have you ever wondered if it’s time to reapply sunblock?
“I found these UV spots last year and they are probably the best mum hack for the beach of all time.
“Put them on your family when you get to the beach. When you spray them with sunblock, they turn clear.
“You’ll know it’s time to reapply sunblock when they turn purple. Genius.”
Meanwhile, this parent revealed the clever item that makes going on holiday with kids much easier.
And another mum explained why parents should take a dog bed for their children to use while travelling.
