Major boost for Brits after Spain lifts all Covid restrictions for holidaymakers
SPAIN has lifted all its Covid travel restrictions for holidaymakers with immediate effect.
The decision comes into effect from today and will be welcome news for the thousands of Brits planning a half-term break.
The lifting of the rules was confirmed by the Spanish government in its official bulletin.
It says the restrictions on travellers was no longer justified given the drop in cases.
Today, the UK Government also confirmed the new situation in a midnight update.
In its updated travel advice, it said: “From 21 October 2022, all Covid travel restrictions for travellers to Spain have been lifted.”
The rules that previously applied to travellers coming to Spain no longer apply.
You are no longer required to show proof of being fully vaccinated.
You are no longer required to show proof of a negative Covid test.
You are no longer required to show proof of having recovered from Covid in the last six months.
You are no longer required to complete a health control form prior to travel.
