Maine Mendoza slams sales associate who called her ‘snub’: ‘Sana tinarayan ko na nga talaga’
Maine Mendoza addressed the alleged “snubbing” incident with a “disappointed” Filipino sales associate in Singapore, who the actress-TV host described as “disrespectful and entitled.”
Mendoza did not hold herself back as she responded to fan account @tius_day which reposted the Facebook post of one Joyce Chaneco Villamar, a sales associate at a retail store in Ngee Ann Mall, through its Twitter page on Friday, Jan. 13.
“Suplada pala sa personal itong si Maine Mendoza na ito (This Maine Mendoza is indeed a snub in person). So disappointed with you,” a preview of the now-deleted post read.
“If I came off as ‘supladita’ (snub)… e [deserve] nga naman, sana tinarayan ko na nga talaga,” Mendoza stated. “Bastos si SA and that group of girls. Bastos at makakapal ang mukha.”
(If I came off as snub, then she deserved it. I should have really snubbed her. The SA and that group of girls were disrespectful. They were disrespectful and shameless.)
If I came off as “supladita” (as ate sales associate in Bath and Body Works Ngee Ann Mall have said to every Filipino inside the store, even to my friend) e dasurv nga naman, sana tinarayan ko na nga talaga. Bastos si SA and that group of girls. Bastos at makakapal ang mukha.

Mendoza also said that Villamar allegedly told everyone inside the store at the time, including the actress’ friend, that Mendoza was a snub.
“Oh if you only know how disrespectful and entitled those ladies were, especially the sales associate, ay maloloka ka na lang talaga (you would be mad),” she added. “By far the worst experience/interaction with kababayans (fellow Filipinos) abroad. Bastos (disrespectful).”

Meanwhile, Mendoza was earlier seen bonding with her fiancé, actor-politician Arjo Atayde, and his family including his mom and sister, actresses Sylvia Sanchez and Ria Atayde, in Taiwan. Ria’s rumored boyfriend, actor Zanjoe Marudo, also joined the trip. /ra
