Downton Abbey star Dame Maggie Smith delighted Wimbledon 2023 attendees as she stepped out in a navy blue ensemble for a rare public appearance.
The Harry Potter actress smiled sweetly as she waved to fans who had spotted her at the world famous tennis tournament in London.
Maggie walked arm in arm with two companions, one of whom was her daughter-in-law Suki Stephens. as she headed in to enjoy the matches.
She dressed up for the occasion in a navy blue shirt dress covered in a chic dotted pattern.
Dame Maggie accessorised with a pair of black leather heels and a blue overcoat, while carrying a matching navy leather bag over her shoulder.
She styled her bob in soft waves, while completing the elegant look with a touch of pink lipstick.
The Professor McGonagall actress was also joined by her Harry Potter co-star Emma Watson, 33, at Wimbledon today, as the Hermione Granger star was pictured in the VIP area with her father.
The actresses were amongst other big names in the Royal Box this afternoon, as Kate, Princess of Wales returned to the tennis tournament for the second time this year.
Priyanka Chopra Jonas and her husband Nick Jonas were also spotted watching the tennis from the Royal Box.
Dame Maggie’s appearance on day 13 of the Wimbledon Tennis Championships comes after she was last photographed back in December 2022.
At the time, the 88-year-old star was attending the One Night Only event at The Ivy West Street in collaboration with Acting for Others.
She was pictured alongside fellow British acting greats, including Samantha Bond, Dame Penelope Wilton and Sir Derek Jacobi.
Clearly a keen tennis fan, Dame Maggie also attended Wimbledon two years ago in 2021.
She is set to make a comeback to the big screen this year, appearing in The Miracle Club, starring opposite Laura Linney and Kathy Bates.
The film follows Irishwomen of different generations who travel to the shrine of Our Lady of Lourdes in France, praying for a miracle.
