MAFS stars announce engagement: ‘Forever’

The couple – who first met on the 2020 season of the reality TV series – shared the news with fans on Instagram on Sunday night.

They posted a picture of themselves holding champagne glasses on a boat on Sydney Harbour with huge smiles and an engagement ring visible on Knight’s finger, along with the caption: “Forever.”

Their celebrity friends were quick to congratulate the pair on the happy news, with fellow MAFS alum Jules Robinson writing: “So awesome. Congratulations to two of my fav [sic] people ever!”

Her husband Cam Merchant, who she also met on the show, added: “This is so phenomenal! Congratulations team! So much love.”

“Love you guys so much! Still can’t get the smile off my face,” wrote Beck Zemek, another MAFS star.

Meanwhile, MAFS expert Mel Schilling weighed in: “Oh I’m so delighted for you guys. Such a genuine, upbeat, positive couple and you both deserve all the happiness in the world.”

The reality TV stars were clearly smitten after meeting for the first time on the reality show two years ago.

During the wedding, Balbuziente gushed to producers: “As soon as I saw her bright smile … the breath just came out of me. She’s stunning, she’s incredible. I seriously cannot wipe this smile off my face.”

It was also love at first sight for Knight.

“He put me at ease as soon as I saw him,” she said. “He looks really kind. I’m stoked.”

Their relationship has gone from strength to strength since then.

Just a couple of months after leaving the experiment, Balbuziente and Knight moved in together. Shortly afterwards, they expanded their household with a puppy.

Now, two years after their fake “wedding”, they are set to tie the knot for real.
