Madonna’s life-threatening battle as health update emerges after hospitalisation

A new report has claimed that Madonna was injected with the drug Narcan in a bid to combat acute septic shock.

The drug is an emergency treatment which is designed to rapidly reverse opioid overdose.

It can also be used to reverse septic shock in patients like Madonna, according to Radar.

The 64-year-old is said to have been found unresponsive by a member of her team and rushed to an intensive care unit on June 28.

At the time, it was claimed her condition was so serious that she was reportedly intubated overnight and her family prepared “for the worst”.

The Queen of pop is now recovering at her home, however is reportedly “weak and very tired,” according to TMZ.

Express.co.uk has contacted a representative for Madonna for further comment.

The singer’s health crisis comes ahead of her 40th anniversary tour.

She is scheduled to belt out her greatest hits on a seven-month-long stint across 45 cities worldwide.

On her official website, she is down to appear in Vancouver in just 10 days time.

Last week however, her manager said “at this time we will need to pause all commitments, which includes the tour”.

He added that more details will be shared with fans once they know what is happening.

Madonna is yet to publicly address her health ordeal and has remained silent on her social media pages.

On her most recent Instagram post, published on June 20, fans flocked to the comments section to send their well wishes.

The songstress shared multiple pictures of herself seemingly preparing for her tour, which she captioned: “Calm before the storm.”

RuPaul’s Drag Race judge Michelle Visage wrote: “WE LOVE YOU QUEEEEEN.”

Josh Osborn commented: “Are you getting better? Please give us an update. We are all worried. And please give us an update on opening night.

“We all love you and hope you are feeling better.”

Mayday added: “Get well soon Madonna.. we need you.”

Alexandra Kennedy typed: “Put you first, positive vibes and love.”
