Luxury D2C skincare brand RAS raises $1.5 million in funding from Green Frontier Capital, others

Luxury skincare and personal care brand RAS on Tuesday announced that it has raised $1.5 million from New York-based sustainability-focused venture capital firm Green Frontier Capital and other existing investors.

Founded by Sangeeta Jain and her two daughters Shubhika Jain and Suramya Jain, the luxury direct-to-consumer (D2C) skincare and beauty brand claims to be growing 300% year-on-year since its inception in 2017.

The brand offers skincare products that it says are infused with the benefits of active botanicals.

“Our ingredients are cultivated organically in our own farms and/or acquired from local farmers and manufacturers who are well regarded for purity and freshness. The ingredients are researched and formulated in our in-house DSIR-approved R&D facility and manufactured in our government-approved facility followed by packing and timely dispatch to our customers,” said cofounder and CMO of RAS, Suramya Jain.

The company’s distribution and sales channels include its own D2C website, Nykaa and Amazon, along with other ecommerce platforms such as Blinkit and Flipkart, among others. It also supplies products to luxury hotels, spas and airlines.

“RAS’ products, which are all vegan, all-natural and plant-based, are also non-toxic and have delivered powerful results,” said Sandiip Bhammer, founder and co-managing partner, Green Frontier Capital.
