After six months of working for the first time with Piolo Pascual in her first Kapamilya series, the Pinoy adaptation of the hit Korean drama “Flower of Evil,” Lovi Poe discovered so many things about her leading man.
“I really appreciate how Piolo is so disciplined. The moment he wakes up in the morning, he knows exactly what to do. He sets his mind in taking care of himself and when he gets on set he’s always prepared,” Poe said during the poster reveal online press conference for the series last Monday, May 23.
Poe is also awed by how Pascual flexes his acting chops during taping.
“The emotions that he gives me in every scene, hindi ko na kailangang maghanap sa iba (I need not look for it elsewhere). All I have to do is look at his eyes. Talagang nadadala na ako (I am really carried away) which is good kasi gift ‘yan sa isang actor (that is a gift for any actor),” she said.
Poe finally knows the answer to why people are raving about him.
“Now I get it. Now I know why everyone is raving about Piolo. I’ve always wanted to work with him because of his body of work, but this time I want to work with him because of his body. I’m kidding,” she joked.
Poe considers Pascual as “one of the most genuine (artists)” around.
“When you think of Piolo Pascual you think someone who’s done so well in the industry, who’s right there,” she said. “And I am really grateful because this is my first Kapamilya show and I’m paired up with someone who is amazing, really genuine and really nice.” JB
