Love Island’s Luca Bish has grandma’s blessing to have sex on TV
During Friday’s first recoupling of the series, the 23-year-old fishmonger decided to move on from paramedic Paige Thorne, 24, and partner up with international dressage rider Gemma Owen, 19, instead, after sparks flew during their first one-on-one chat together.
Although it’s early days for the new couple, Luca’s grandma Rosa, 79, revealed that if things, ahem, escalated between Luca and Gemma – ‘it’s nothing to worry about.’
‘If they’re not doing it in front of you, then they’re doing it behind your back,’ she said.
‘No, I wouldn’t cover my eyes if it was on TV,’ she added to The Mirror.
‘It’s under the cover anyway. You never see. They cover each other.’
This comes after reports the contestants must reveal to the network if they have STDs, and agree not to sue the broadcaster if they fall pregnant, or catch an STD during their time in the villa.
Islanders are reportedly all given a detailed health questionnaire, which includes asking about their alcohol intake, the use of drugs and asking islanders: ‘Have you ever had cold sores or genital ulcers or been diagnosed with genital herpes?’
Meanwhile, the papers seen by The Sun, urge the Islanders to practice safe sex and outline how they cannot sue ITV if they contract an STI or fall pregnant.
They reportedly say: ‘Without in any way limiting the foregoing, you represent and warrant that, to the best of your knowledge, you do not currently have any sexually transmitted disease.’
Elsewhere, while Luca is currently ecstatic to be coupled up with Gemma, his mood could be short-lived as a new bombshell is set to make a bold entrance during Sunday’s episode.
However, it’s not just any bombshell – but Gemma’s ex-boyfriend, rugby player Jacques O’Neill.
We’ll be getting our popcorn ready for this!
Love Island returns tomorrow at 9pm on ITV2.
