Love Island’s George Fensom speaks out after he was dumped from villa ‘too soon’
George Fensom was booted off Love Island on Friday night when bombshell Whitney Adebayo chose instead to couple up with French model, Mehdi Edno.
24-year-old George was gutted as he left the Majorcan villa, saying at the end of the show: “It’s not how I wanted my experience to end. I just wanted to continue dropping loose game.
“I’m sure there will be somebody out there for me but obviously it wasn’t in the villa.”
Just hours after his exit, George returned to social media and shared a video message with his 13,000 followers.
“Left the villa too soon, but do you know what I was obviously too leng. (sic)
“But yeah, obviously appreciate all the support, thank you for all the messages and, yeah, just give me a couple of days just to sort my bits out and I will get replying and we will talk about plans moving forward. Bosh.”
As she made her decision around the firepit, Whitney said she chose Mehdi because he is “easy on the eye” and brought a certain vibe to the villa.
Speaking in the beach hut afterwards, she commented: “It is hard, but we all knew that someone had to go.
“Such an energy ball, George brought life into the villa.”
When 10 singletons entered the villa on Monday, George was coupled up with Jess Harding.
However, despite the public thinking they would have made a good couple, George said: “Jess is an absolutely lovely girl but it felt more like a friendship.”
Meanwhile, Jess said: “We started as a couple together so I’ll always have that little soft spot for him… he just lit up every room and I genuinely hope he does find someone.”
Love Island airs at 9pm on ITV2.
