It’s trouble in paradise in the Love Island villa tonight for Ella Thomas and Tyrique Hyde.
The 23-year-old Glaswegian model was left in tears twice after Tyrique, 24, welcomed bombshell Leah Taylor with, er, open arms.
Hot off the heels of picking the footballer for a date in last night’s episode – after which Tyrique called her ‘mad flirty’ and ‘sexy’ – the 27 year old newbie then got to know Tyrique a little more.
In a pretty cosy chat, Tyrique ended up asking the Manchester-born influencer to twirl for him and show off her outfit.
Much to the horror of onlooker Ella, Leah obliged.
This came after Tyrique confessed he needed ‘someone like’ Leah to ‘come in and test the waters.’
What ensued was a pretty awkward group exchange, where Tyrique asked Ella why she was looking ‘fuming’.
‘I’m just sitting, it’s my face,’ she replied.
Then after a few stilted exchanges, and Tyrique asking why she was fuming again, to which she replied she wasn’t, he walked off.
But the argument continued in the kitchen, with Tyrique accusing Ella of ‘looking fuming’ again and her denying it.
Ella then explained how he didn’t need to be so flirty in front of her, to which he accused her of ‘being dumb.’
‘Be respectful, don’t be saying, “Get up and show me your outfit,” no.’Ella explained.
Then, for the second time – and in true Love Island fashion – Tyrique walked off.
Later on in bed, fans branded Tyrique the player of the season as he then went on to say, ‘You’re my favourite,’ to the upset Ella.
But it wasn’t alright in the morning and Ella ended up breaking down in tears twice over the situation as Tyrique failed to chat to her after their fight and instead talked to the other girls.
Fans were loving the action, as one took to Twitter and said: ‘Tyrique said right in front of Ella that he asked Leah to twirl for him I’M SCREAMING.’
Another said: ‘Tyrique accidentally flirting his way into a new couple. Aries men.’
Others branded the footballer this season’s player, as one said: ‘”You’re my favourite” Tyrique is a PRO player.’
Before the awkward twirl, Tyrique seemingly warned Ella of what was to come, but little did she know how the night would end.
He warned her: ‘If you see me talking to her and that, I’m just talking to her and seeing what can happen.’
A little struck, Ella responded, ‘What does that mean?’ before he explained: ‘If we have conversations and that my mind could change, do you know what I mean? I told her that I wasn’t fully closed off basically.’
‘I totally get that, and that’s cool,’ said Ella, before saying that if a man were to come in she liked the look of, she would do the same.
By the end of the night, the recoupling proved the Scot’s fears were warranted as Leah picked Tyrique to couple up with, leaving Ella single and vulnerable for a dumping.
