Davide Sanclimenti has revealed the moment he felt “real love” for Ekin-Su Cülcüloğlu following the couple’s Love Island win.
The 27-year-old Italian also acknowledged that it hasn’t all been plain sailing for the pair.
“I think everyone knows when I met Ekin there were a lot of ups and downs,” he said.
“We were on a reality TV show and a lot of things happened.
“So, we could be rigged for a lot of things you know,” he says referring to some of the situations that were set up in the Villa.

“Maybe she was doing something to p*** me off with the guys and I was doing something that was not really nice for her,” he exclusively told Express.co.uk.
“But it was a TV show, not real life. We always said we’d start [our romance] after the show.
“And surprisingly, we were a bit scared because we didn’t expect to feel so close.
“But I feel like after the TV show, we jumped on real life, and we started living with each other.
“I think it’s where it started, the real, real love,” he admitted.
The pair have now been together almost a year and engagement rumours are constantly whirling, but Davide claims that they are in no rush to go down that road.
“I think that there is time before the official ring. There will be time,” he said.
“We’re just waiting for the right moment and we’re just living day by day.
“Like we are trying to make it [our relationship] less planned than before – more enjoying the moment.
“Now the summer is coming in. So, we have, we just think probably more about planning this summer rather than the future, a wedding.”
Davide was talking to us in advance of hosting a series of speed dating events for Prezzo.
These took him away from the Manchester home the couple share for a while, but he admitted he was looking forward to heading back.
“I feel more at home in Manchester than Italy to be honest,” Davide confessed.
“I miss Italy, but it is more like I, you know, I grew up there. I mostly go there for holiday or to see my parents.”
Love Island Winner Davide Sanclimenti hosted two speed dating events with Prezzo, on Thursday 8th June in London and Thursday 15th June in Manchester to help Brits find love this summer.
