Love Island viewers bewildered as Molly Marsh unveils her real age

Love Island series 10 kicked off with a bang as it returned to ITV2 on Monday night. During the episode, 10 hopeful singles arrived at the Spanish villa with the aim of finding love.

One contestant is Doncaster’s Molly Marsh, who is the daughter of Coronation Street star Janet Marsh.

When the blonde beauty introduced herself to her fellow Islanders, she revealed that she is 21, but some viewers have been left in disbelief.

Leo tweeted: “Molly is 21?!! I genuinely thought she was older”

Jonathan exclaimed: “Is Molly sure she’s 21?”

James remarked: “No way Molly is 21. 21 plus VAT.”

G echoed: “Molly … 21!!?!”

While Raph wrote: “I need to see Molly’s birth certificate because 21?”

And another said: “I like Molly but that girl is not 21, please stop lying.”

The public chose to couple Molly with Mitchel Taylor, a 26-year-old gas engineer from Sheffield.

The pair were thrilled to have been put together, and Mitchel previously vowed to be a “gentleman” during his time in the villa.

Speaking to ITV, he said: “I thrive on being a gentleman. I’ll shower you with flowers, I’ll take you on dates, I’ll fill your bedside drawer with your favourite sweets and chocolate.”

He continued: “I’ve been single, I’ve had my fun and now I want to settle down.”
