Love Island finalists share their predictions on 2023 winners

Maya Jama teases new Love Island series

Paige Turley and Faye Winter, who are both memorable Love Island finalists, spoke exclusively to Express.co.uk about who they think will win the latest series of the ITV show.

Scottish singer Paige, who has recently released catchy new single Lonely Tonight with LEØN TARØ, won the sixth series of the show in 2020 alongside ex-boyfriend Finn Tapp.

Meanwhile Faye Winter, who has since gone on to do two years of charity work with Guide Dogs UK, came third in the seventh series of the show with ex-boyfriend Teddy Soares.

Speaking about who they would bet on to win the final on Monday night, both reality stars had the same thought.

Tomorrow night’s episode of Love Island will see the final four couples compete for the £50,000 prize.

However, there is one contestant in particular that both Faye and Paige are backing.

A couple of weeks ago, Express.co.uk asked Faye who she could see winning Love Island 2023.

“Just Whitney winning on her own,” Faye confirmed enthusiastically. “That’d be great.

“I can’t wait to see her career and what she’ll do on the outside as well, because I think she’s such a personality.

“I think she’s so raw and she’s so organic, and I just love it,” Faye added admiringly.

“I don’t think we’ve ever really had a contestant like her. So I just want her to win by herself really.”

Whitney Adebayo is in a couple with Lochan Nowacki, and the pair have become fan favourites.

Paige

In an interview last week with Express.co.uk Paige was quizzed on her favourite contestant on the show this year has been, to which she replied: “You know what? I love Whitney.

“Her humour. I reckon she and I would get on pretty well,” she added.

“She says it how it is, but she’s got a sense of humour about everything. She’s quite witty.”

Asked if she believed Whitney was in the winning couple, Paige responded: “Do you know what? I think she actually could be.

“A lot of people like Whitney so much that she could be.”

Admitting that, when it comes to Love Island, “you never really know how it’s going to pan out”, the Scottish star also gave an honourable mention to a second couple.

“I love Ty and Ella as well,” she said. “They’ve kind of been through the wars and they’re out the other side now hopefully.”

Since appearing on Love Island, Faye has poured all of her efforts into her charity work with guide dogs, which has earned her a nomination as a Celebrity Charity Champion in the National Third Sector Charity Awards this coming September 22.

“I’m really taking this time to look at my career, look at my avenues and really focus on what I’ve wanted to do for the last two years,” she said.

“And I feel like it’s only really been the past few months that I’ve even been recognised for my animal work – the animal welfare side of things. I really want to stay true to myself.”

Faye, who has been working with Guide Dogs UK for the last couple of years, said: “I don’t think many people can say that they’ve had a longtime partnership like I’ve had with Guide Dogs.

“I absolutely love it. We’ve got such amazing things coming up and I feel like it’s taken me two years to get to a point where I’m actually recognised for the charity work I do and my love of animals.”

After winning the sixth season of Love Island with ex-boyfriend Finn Tapp, Paige put all of her efforts into music and has recently released an exciting new single.

The star has joined forces with Toronto-based artist LEØN TARØ to create a powerful anthem about self-confidence and life’s most joyful moments.

Her vocals shine through on the track, which features an uplifting piano melody and some feel-good lyrics.

Produced by Rich Pilkington, the single has been released via Berlin-based Place Called Home.

Speaking about the new single, which she says she has been “super proud” to share with her friends, Paige said: “I think we actually managed to nail it out in about three hours. We just kind of clicked.

“It’s nice to see it finally come out because we wrote it at the end of last year.”

Lonely Tonight by Paige Turley and LEØN TARØ is available to download via all good streaming platforms now.

Faye Winter has been nominated as a Celebrity Charity Champion for her work with guide dogs in the National Third Sector Charity Awards this coming September 22.

Love Island: The Live Final will air at 9pm tomorrow on ITV2.
