Laura Whitmore has officially kicked off the Love Island 2022 finale… serving up a brand new prize money twist right out of the gate before the islanders’ declarations of love left fans in tears.

The first results of the night are in, as Laura announced that Tasha Ghouri and Andrew Le Page had finished in fourth place, before Indiyah Polack and Dami Hope were revealed to have placed third.

Over the past few months, we’ve seen explosive break-ups, shock walkouts, and surprising bombshells galore on series 8 – but all good things must come to an end.

That’s right, it will soon be time to find out which couple will be walking away from the villa with not only newfound love, but a mouth-watering prize of £50,000… which for the first time ever, they won’t have the chance to steal.

While some finalists look like their relationship may have a life beyond the villa, others have seen their relationship tested in the final week.

And Metro.co.uk will be covering all the twists and turns of the highly-anticipated finale right here.
