Love Island fans rejoice as Casey O’Gorman and Claudia Fogarty ‘saga’ concludes
After bombshell Rosie Seabrook, 24, entered the villa three days ago, 26-year-old Casey’s head was turned and he picked her in the latest recoupling, leaving Claudia, 28, in tears.
Since then, there’s been much talk of Casey not wanting to hurt Claudia’s feelings, but he was also reluctant to actually tell her that he felt more of a spark with Rosie.
Claudia, of course, had pretty much worked this out but was quietly fuming as she waited for Casey to tell her to her face.
The recruitment consultant finally did confess how he felt to Claudia on Monday night’s episode – but not before the former couple had let their drama, and awkward tringle situation with Rosie, totally dominate the Snog, Marry, Pie challenge.
Inevitably, several of the boys showed solidarity with Claudia by opting to ‘marry’ or kiss her in the challenge, including farmer Will Young, while later, plenty of the girls pied Casey and even helped Claudia load her cake with as much whipped cream as possible before she pied Casey too.

Casey still trod a dangerous road though, by opting to kiss Rosie – who returned the favour – and marry Claudia, despite her threatening ahead of time: ‘If he marries me, I’m going to throw it in his face!’
Reader, she did not.
However, as Casey finished the challenge extremely pie-faced, he was finally pushed into pulling Claudia for a chat and admitting the obvious, finishing the whole saga.
He did insist that he hadn’t made his mind up immediately on liking Rosie more though and wanted a few days to think about it, which seemed to upset Claudia further.
As the Islanders who had teamed up to support her earlier in the challenge echoed, Claudia stated that she was not there ‘to be treated as an option’ and would have liked an ‘apology’ for how he had treated her.
But viewers at home were divided over who was actually at fault in the situation – although most could agree that they were happy it was finally resolved (well, for now).
‘The Casey/Claudia storyline is over, WE WON,’ joked one viewer, while another tweeted: Finally this Casey Claudia drama is done with.’
‘Two episodes about Claudia and Casey yet we can’t vote?’ asked another as the episode kicked off.
It remains to be seen if the drama will remain done with and Casey and Rosie are left to pursue a potential connection.
Love Island continues tomorrow night at 9pm on ITV2 and ITVX.
