Love Island fans living for Whitney Adebayo’s reactions to ‘chaotic’ re-coupling
The evening’s explosive episode ended on a cliffhanger following the beginning of a switch-up that rocked the villa and left contestants shocked, to say the least.
Hearing the familiar text ping go off, this year’s batch made their way to the Mallorcan fire pit and awaited their fate as the tension built.
The virtual voice of god instructed the boys to take their picks however a twist sent jaws dropping as the new bombshells – Charlotte Sumner and Leah Taylor – chose first.
Getting straight to the point, Leah opted to share a bed with Tyrique Hyde prompting a dramatic gasp from Whitney and a look of horror from his former partner Ella Thomas who struggled to hold back tears at the revelation.
Next up, Charlotte wanted to get to know Zachariah Noble and admitted she would be coupling up with him for the next round of love-searching in Spain.
Causing turmoil among the girls – especially Molly Marsh – as they stood in a line waiting to be picked, fans rushed to Twitter to collectively commend Whitney for providing the entertainment.
One wrote: ‘WHITNEY IS SO DRAMATIC [sic],’ with a string of laughing faces while another said: ‘Whitney’s “hummmmmm” when Lea said Ty finished me I’m sad for her btw [sic].’
‘The producers did a thing when they cast Whitney! She’s so funny omd [sic],’ was a social media account’s response to the night’s antics.
Whitney took centre stage during the episode’s earlier scenes after she Whitney and Mehdi embarked on her first date with Mehdi Edno.
She received a text which read: ‘Whitney, It’s time for you and Mehdi to head off on your first date. #MehdiMania #ItsWhitneyB***h.’
Elsewhere, Zachariah leant in for a kiss with Molly following his date with Charlotte and Leah.
The 25-year-old headed up to the terrace to tell Molly: ‘I think over these last few days, I’ve genuinely enjoyed this. I’m glad I’ve got you up here, this is nice…’
Leaning in for a smooch he confessed: ‘I think it’s been a long time coming. Definitely something I could get used to though.’
Love Island airs on Wednesday at 9pm on ITV2 and ITVX.
