Love Island fans in stitches over Ekin Su’s ‘sexy mermaid’ blunder

Love Island fans were left in stitches this evening (June, 17) over contestant Ekin-Su’s epic ‘mermaid’ blunder. On the hugely popular programme- that aired on ITV2 at 9pm- the remaining female islanders made waves in the ‘Sex-Sea’ challenge. Each girl- who were dressed in sea shell bikinis – were tasked with impressing the boys.

The girls had to emerge from a giant clam shell, and then wrap themselves around a pole and perform a short dance, before finally choosing one of the boys to end their show. Ekin-Su Cülcüloğlu’s performed a very raunchy pole dance routine while she was being hosed down by the other girls.

Many fans were quickly thrown aback by Ekin-Su’s routine when she jumped in the pool and rose back out. Some thought that an unfortunate hair blunder where her locks draped over her face looked more like a horror movie character despite trying to look sexy. One fan took to Twitter to say: “When you’re going for “sexy mermaid” but end up like “girl from The Ring”…. #LoveIsland”.

“Ekin-Su coming like The Ring #loveisland,” another joked. “EKIN-SU GOING UNDER THE WATER AND COMING BACK UP LOOKING LIKE THE GAL FROM THE RING,” one added. Another laughed: “not me thinking ekin-su drowned #LoveIsland.”
