Love Island 2023 viewers think Haris Namani looks like Phil Foden
He claims he looks like Cristiano Ronaldo, but Love Island viewers are convinced that Haris Namani looks more like Phil Foden.
The 21-year-old told viewers in a VT before he entered the ITV2 show’s brand new South African villa: ‘My mum always tells me I look like Ronaldo, and I’ll always take that.’
But viewers flocked to social media to say the TV salesman actually reminded them of another famous footballer.
One fan of the show – which is being hosted by Maya Jama for the first time – wrote: ‘ronaldo?? babes you’re phil foden.’
Another echoed the thought, writing: ‘Ronaldo??? Defo giving Phil Foden with hair.’
A further fan penned: ‘Phil Foden in love island, didn’t see that one coming.’

Others joked, ‘haris giving phil foden from wish’ and ‘Haris is a btec Phil foden.’
However, another fan thought there was a third footballer that Haris looked like.
‘Why does haris look like a mix between phil foden & declan rice ????,’ they asked.
Speaking to Metro.co.uk and other publications ahead of entering the villa, Haris said he was going on the show ‘to find the right girl.’
He continued: ‘To eventually have a future with and bring her back home to mum and dad, I’ve never done that with a girl.
‘I wouldn’t say I’m picky, I’m more into brunettes than blondes but obviously I would still go for a blonde.
‘Any situation that I have with girls in there if I’m not into them or they’re not into me, I’m not going to be a big deal out of it, I’m just going to do me.’
Haris added: ‘I’ve spoken to girls in the past, from my area and out of town. I’ve never actually brought a girl home or thought this is the girl I could have a future with.
‘I’ve had memories with girls, we’ve had fun, we’ve gone to restaurants and bars and everything like that but it’s always died down.
‘I’ve never found someone I can see a future with or taken it to that next step other than meeting up and making memories.’
Love Island airs nightly at 9pm on ITV2 and ITVX
