Louis Tomlinson made his feelings clear after a fan threw a bracelet on stage at him.

There has been a growing trend of fans throwing items at performers at live shows in recent weeks, with some acts becoming injured.

Bebe Rexha required stitches when a concert-goer launched a phone at her head last month, with Drake narrowly avoiding being hit by a mobile weeks later, and Lil Nas X stopping a show to comment on someone who threw an adult toy at him.

Fans throwing items on stage has long been a part of live shows, but recently things appear to have accelerated, and some gigs kick off with an announcement warning people not to do just that.

Reportedly, former One Direction star Louis’ shows begin with a similar announcement, but not all fans took heed, as at a recent show an overzealous concertgoer threw a bracelet – almost hitting him in the face.

A video from the moment has now been shared to TikTok, showing the bracelet soaring into the air and past Louis’ face, bouncing off his shoulder as he sings – and in response, he sticks out his middle finger towards the crowd and holds it there.

The clip has begun making the rounds on social media, with one commenter claiming there was ‘literally an announcement not to throw anything on stage’.

‘They thought he was joking,’ another exasperated fan wrote.

And one noted: ‘He meant that with every fiber of his being.’

It’s not the first time Louis has had issues with people throwing things: a clip from a live show in 2022 saw the singer stop the gig to warn fans to stop throwing chicken nuggets at him as it was ‘very annoying’.

Even back in the One Direction days the group – made up of Louis, Niall Horan, Harry Styles, Zayn Malik and Liam Payne – were forced to plead with fans not to throw things.

Louis told This Morning in 2015 that they reguarly have things chucked on stage, including expensive iPhones.

He said: ‘You can just imagine these kids’ parents when they get home, “Where’s your iPhone?” “Oh I threw it on stage at the people I’m there to support.”‘

Niall added: ‘I love you, but here is a phone to the head.’
