Loose Women star Jane Moore was delighted to reveal her cosmetic surgery results live on air on Thursday.
The panellist had decided to undergo minor surgery on her eyelids as she noticed that they had started to droop.
Jane admitted: “Well… it’s funny, you know, probably nobody would notice. I’ve had my eyes done!”
Before jokingly adding, “So, back in the day, I used to have eyelids when I was younger. And as I got older, they’ve become more and more hooded.”
Her co-star Denise Welch chimed in to say: “And this is only a week ago?”
In response to Denise, Jane said, “Yeah I had it done on Wednesday [last week]. It’s called blepharoplasty, and they just take the loose skin. I had it done in 45 minutes.”
Jane told the Loose Women panellists and audience some are eligible to get the procedure done on the NHS “if the skin is so bad it affects your vision”.
Although Jane admitted that she “had it done for vanity”
The 61-year-old added: “I suppose. I just didn’t want to look tired. I looked tired and grumpy all the time – even when I wasn’t!”
She quipped: “Now I look endlessly fascinated by everything.”
Jane revealed she did her research on the procedure and went to a well-established eye surgeon before undergoing the surgery, and said she was “only nervous about the result”.
Following the procedure, she visited fellow panellist Denise Welch at her home and said that she was forced to wear opaque glasses to protect her eyes.
She told the Loose Ladies: “[Denise] took me round the house saying, ‘Show us your eyes!’ I still had my stitches in!”
Denise interjected admitting to having the same surgery done a number of years ago adding: “I know, but I was so proud because it looked brilliant! I had mine done 15 years ago, and it was the best thing I ever did.
“But I had much more bruising and I just couldn’t believe that yours were like that after only three days! I think it looks amazing.”
Jane admitted she is “very pleased” with the result of the minor surgery, and told viewers: “I’m saying it because I like to be honest about these things.”
