LOOK: Pia Wurtzbach stuns in sparkly red Mark Bumgarner gown in Cannes debut
Pia Wurtzbach turned up the heat in her red-carpet premiere at the Cannes Film Festival of the Hirokazu Kore-eda-helmed film “Monster,” which revolves around bullying and domestic abuse.
Wurtzbach looked glamorous in a metallic red gown adorned with sequins by Mark Bumgarner, as seen in a series of photos on the latter’s Instagram account on Thursday, May 18. The former beauty queen’s look was finished with silver accessories and a pulled back hairstyle.
“The stunning Pia Wurtzbach Jauncey makes her red carpet debut at the premier of ‘Monster’ movie at the 76th Cannes Film Festival in this custom @markbumgarner metallic scarlet evening gown,” the designer said in the caption.
Bumgarner also praised the Miss Universe 2015 titleholder’s glamorous look, saying she looks “absolutely phenomenal.”
“This is one of the looks I custom -made for her for Cannes and I’m over the moon that she chose this look on the red carpet last night. Pia looks absolutely phenomenal. Thank you Queen P,” he said.
The breathtaking red-carpet look caught the attention of fellow Filipino designer Rajo Laurel, who praised his design in the comments.
Wurtzbach appeared to be a fan of the sensual look as well, as she re-shared a series of photos on her Instagram Stories.
Another former beauty queen who made an appearance at the Cannes Film Festival was Miss International 2016 Kylie Versoza who donned a dramatic black gown from the same designer.
The festival is among Wurtzbach’s first public appearances after she confirmed her marriage to entrepreneur Jeremy Jauncey, which happened two months after the actual ceremony. EDV
