Kris Bernal and her husband, businessman Perry Choi, are about to become parents as the actress is now pregnant with their first child.

Bernal made the announcement through a series of posts showing them in movie poster-themed photoshoots on her Instagram page on Friday, March 3.

“WE ARE PREGNANT!” she said in the caption. “It happened—we weren’t really ‘trying’ but we were blessed with pregnancy! I can still remember I’ve felt a rush of different emotions when the test showed two lines.”

The actress spoke about the morning sickness she has been experiencing, stressing how the “first trimester was no joke.”

“I haven’t experienced anything like this before and I feel like a stranger in my own body,” she stated. “It’s a miracle that I was able to keep up appearances at work and with friends without anyone knowing what was going on! Good acting, KB!”

She then expressed her appreciation for her husband for being “very hands on” in taking care of her, admitting she gets emotional whenever she is reminded of his efforts for her.

“He puts up with all my crazy mood swings, reminds me of the dos and don’ts of my doctor, makes sure I take my medicines on time, and the list goes on!” Bernal spoke of Choi.

“Perry, you have what it takes to welcome parenthood! You’ll [definitely] nail this whole dad thing!” she addressed her husband.

Choi, for his part, showed his wife in her sleepwear in front of the toilet, seemingly suffering from morning sickness.

The couple received congratulatory greetings from fellow celebrities and netizens who expressed excitement over the pregnancy announcement.
