Jake Ejercito bonded with daughter Ellie in their recent trip to Japan, where he celebrated his 33rd birthday, and which culminated in viewing sakura (cherry blossom tree) on illuminated lanes.

On Instagram, Ejercito shared on Sunday the latest installment of pictures from their Japan visit where the father-and-daughter duo can be seen enjoying taking pictures with the pink and white blooms in the background.

“Sakuraaa,” he said in the caption.

Meanwhile, Ejercito also shared on his Twitter account pictures of their Tokyo train ride and search for Ellie’s shoes, wherein he was shown comforting his daughter after failing to find the right shoe size for her.

“After the nth sneaker shop without her size,” he wrote.

Netizens expressed admiration on the close relationship between Ejercito and Ellie in the comments of his post, while some can’t help but note the latter’s resemblances to her mother, Andi Eigenmann, and the actor himself.

One @jhumer7 said, “How sweet relationship [between a] father and [daughter].”

Another @chehb_ wrote, “Dating [a former] younger version of Andy.”

Ejercito is known to be fond of going on domestic and international trips with Ellie, where the father-and-daughter duo enjoyed an underwater adventure in February 2022. The actor also bonded with his child in Siargao to mark her 10th birthday in November 2021, along with the latter’s half-sister Lilo.

The “A Family Affair” star is co-parenting Ellie with Eigenmann, who’s currently engaged to celebrity surfer Philmar Alipayo. He also shared in a January 2020 interview with the Inquirer that he made it a point to keep his daughter away from “all the drama” in their parenting setup. EDV
