LOOK: Gretchen Ho goes back to trail running, training

Former volleyball athlete and TV host Gretchen Ho is now back to racing and is getting back to form after more than two years of not being on the trail running track.

Ho shared her journey to racing anew in her Instagram page today, June 19, showing photos of her training.

“Hindi madaling bumalik sa dating gawi,” she said. (It’s not easy to go back to the old ways.)

“Now that races are starting again, my coach and I have been trying to get back to race form but it’s not always easy, especially after two years of lower intensity workouts (managed stress levels throughout the pandemic),” she explained.

With this, she has been taking the effort to get herself out there, “trying out different things every weekend” to have a change of pace and help her training.

“It helps to do things you enjoy just to get started and to get moving. Eventually, the drive and motivation follow. Happy that my physical condition has been getting better and better every weekend,” she added.

Obviously, Ho is having fun in her return to trail running, enjoying herself in her journey. JB
