Glaiza de Castro could not seem to contain her delight after her celebrity friends Angelica Panganiban and Maxene Magalona, among others, organized a surprise bridal shower ahead of her second wedding to husband, Irish businessman David Rainey.

De Castro was clueless when she was being escorted by fellow actresses Kakai Bautista and Sheena Halili to the event, as seen in the reposted videos she shared through her Instagram Stories on Sunday, Jan. 8.

The bride-to-be teared up as she entered the room where her friends including Panganiban, Magalona and Isabel Oli gathered to surprise her. She then changed from her casual attire to a red high-slit dress paired with a head band with the words “bride to be.”

Panganiban also gave a glimpse of the bridal shower through a video compilation on her Instagram page on Monday, Jan. 9. Magalona, for her part, described De Castro as a “rakenrol bride” in a series of snaps from the party.

“All for the bride,” Panganiban addressed De Castro. “Masaya kaming makita kang masayang-masaya.” (We are glad to see you very happy.)
