LOOK: Bela Padilla shares selfie with Korean actor Song Joong-ki at Cannes
Bela Padilla is one lucky fangirl as she shared a selfie with South Korean actor Song Joong-ki, which was captured during the Cannes Film Festival.
Padilla took to her Instagram account on Tuesday, May 23, to share her once-in-a-lifetime moment with the K-drama superstar, saying that the latter is “so chill and friendly.”
“Good morning. (He’s so chill and friendly),” she said in the caption.
“Thank you for pointing him out direk @aalixjr,” the actress continued, referring to filmmaker Adolf Alix Jr, who she credited for the opportunity to strike a pose with the “Vincenzo” star.
The “366” star’s post caught the attention of her fellow celebrities, including Kim Chiu, Angelica Panganiban, Mariel Rodriguez, Dianne Medina, Myrtle Sarrosa, and Tim Yap, as seen in the comments of her post.
Meanwhile, Alix expressed his excitement over meeting Joong-ki in person, as seen on his personal Instagram page, where he was also spotted with film producer Arleen Cuevas.
“Song Joong-ki in Cannes! Big Boss is a nice guy and very accommodating,” he wrote.
Padilla, who’s been sharing her experiences at the film festival on social media, is best known for her appearances at “Sino ang Maysala?: Mea Culpa,” “Yung Libro sa Napanood Ko,” “366,” “Meet Me in St. Gallen,” and “100 Tula Para Kay Stella.”
On the other hand, Joong-ki is known as one of South Korea’s top Hallyu stars, having appeared in popular K-dramas including “Descendants of the Sun,” “Reborn Rich,” “Sungkyunkwan Scandal,” and “Arthdal Chronicles.”
Hallyu is a term used to describe the Korean wave, which has exploded in popularity since the early 2000s.
Joong-ki recently admitted that he has married his British partner, Katy Louise Saunders, and that they’re expecting their first child. He was previously married to “The Glory” actress Song Hye-kyo, who he had worked with in “Descendants of the Sun.” EDV
