The Visionary was closing in on a win over Austin Theory to capture the United States Champion, but the controversial YouTuber got into the structure when Montez Ford was being helped out by medical personnel following his exit from the six-man bout.
The crowd roared as Logan slipped in, and booed as he hit Rollins with a Buckshot Lariat and stole his rival’s signature stomp.
He left the ring and the chamber as Theory hit the A-Town Down to make sure he put his final challenger away for a three count to retain the gold.
The social media star’s actions all but confirm that he will meet Rollins in a grudge match at WrestleMania 39 in Hollywood after their rivalry kicked off at the Royal Rumble last month.
There, Logan eliminated the former world champion, and the wrestler has since been ranting that the relative rookie is only interested in being famous.
During a recent Instagram Live, he vented: ‘All I know is I don’t like Logan Paul. A lot of us really don’t. I don’t really need him in my locker room, in my space. The guy is ultra-talented as far as athletic ability is concerned.
‘He snuck up on me at the Rumble, dumped me, fine, whatever. I took my eyes off the ball — that’s on me. But don’t go bragging about it like you did something otherworldly.’
Rollins urged Logan to ‘stay in his lane’ and even took a shot at his brother Jake before his upcoming fight with Tommy Fury.
‘It’s probably the coolest thing he’s done in life, but I just advise him to stay in his lane. He’s a freak… no doubt… but at the end of the day, he’s not a wrestler, you know? He just wants to be famous,’ he argued.
‘He doesn’t care about the industry. He’s not a wrestler, so he should stay in his lane. If buying counterfeit Pokémon cards is your lane, stay in that lane. If you come knocking on my door, I will knock you out.
