Lloyds, Halifax and NatWest are each to close many branches over the summer in major cities as well as towns and villages. Lloyds is to close 26 branches while NatWest is to close 40 branches, while Barclays announced last week the closure of 14 branches.
The Bank of Scotland is also to close five outlets while the Royal Bank of Scotland will close two branches.
