Lily Collins devastated as ‘$100,000 rings’ stolen at Hollywood spa

Lily Collins has been left devastated after her engagement and wedding rings – said to be worth up to $100,000 – were stolen while at a spa in West Hollywood.

The Emily In Paris star was enjoying some downtime with her friends when both the rings, as well as other personal items, were swiped from what she believed to be a safe and locked area.

According to TMZ, the LA County Sheriff’s office is now investigating what happened, with the theft as being classed as “over $10,000”.

The site claims CCTV around the premises is being looked into as there was no sign of forced entry around where Lily stored her belongings.

While the actual value of the rings are officially unknown, the star is naturally particularly protective of the one-of-a-kind pieces.

The engagement ring is a bezel set rose-cut diamond ring, set in 18ct gold.

Apeksha Kothari, the chief operating officer of diamond search engine Rare Carat, told Insider back in 2020 that a similar engagement ring could cost between $75,000 and $100,000.

However, they added its design could also mean it would valued at a much lower $5,000.

A secondary jeweller previously valued the ring to Hello! Magazine for £65,000 (£82,110).

Collins and her now-husband Charlie McDowell were married in July 2022 in a star-studded but intimate wedding in Colorado.

They had got engaged two years previously while on a trip together in New Mexico.

At the time of the proposal, Collins declared the mysterious and unique ring ‘her new favourite accessory, with McDowell sharing a picture of the actress beaming as she showed off the bling.

In an interview with Kelly Ripa, Collins confirmed it had been designed specifically for her by McDowell and Irene Neuwirth.

The light pink colour of the gemstone makes the piece particularly rare.

Neither Collins or McDowell have yet to release a statement following the theft.
