Lenovo Legion Gaming phones shutdown details

Lenovo’s Legion line-up of products is considered to be one of the most sought-after by gamers. The series also included gaming phones such as the Legion Pro and the Legion Phone Duel. However, the last launch was back in 2021 with the Lenovo Legion Phone Duel 2, and since then, we haven’t seen anything new from the makers. And now, the company has confirmed in a statement it is “discontinuing its Android-based Legion mobile gaming phones”.

As reported by Android Authority, here’s what a Lenovo spokesperson said:

“Lenovo is discontinuing its Android-based Legion mobile gaming phones as part of a wider business transformation and gaming portfolio consolidation. As a leader in gaming devices and solutions, Lenovo is committed to advancing the gaming category across form factors, as well as focusing on where it can bring the most value to the global gaming community.”

While Lenovo may be marking its exit from the mobile manufacturing market in the gaming industry, Asus ROG, on the other hand, recently launched the ROG Phone 6 and ROG Phone 6 Pro. Currently, the next in the series, ROG Phone 7 is being hyped, ahead of its upcoming April 13 launch.
