The 31-year-old decided to branch out on her own and began teasing new music following her former girl band’s hiatus announcement hiatus in 2021.
Learning to adapt to a career without her three fellow singers behind her proved difficult for the new mum as she headed to Los Angeles to work on a set list with Warner Records.
Taking to social media, she revealed that she had forgotten the hardships of life as a touring artist and was feeling ‘overwhelmed’ at being away from her twin babies that she shares with fiance Andre Gray.
The megastar chose to conceal the identity of the tots and keeps their faces hidden in pictures posted of them online.
In the post she uploaded to Instagram and Twitter, the artist outlined her feelings and opened up about her current mental state alongside a gallery of studio pictures and stunning selfies.
She penned: ‘I am so easily overwhelmed… even when I feel like great things are happening, I start to freak out a bit.
‘Still figuring out why I do that. I’m also super family orientated and I forgot how lonely being on the road can be. Gratitude is so grounding though.
‘I think about this whenever I get these feelings. Well… there’s your stream of consciousness for the day [sic]’.
Former Little Mix bandmates rushed to their friend’s comment section to offer their support to the stunning singer.
Jade Thirlwall wrote: ‘You deserve it alllllll [sic]’ followed by a red heart emoji while Perrie Edwards said: ‘You deserve the world!!! I will remind you of that every damn day [sic]’.
The popstar’s fans also came to the aid of the lonely star writing: ‘Hun you will never be alone !! We all support you and stand by you. I am extremely proud of you! I look forward to your music [sic]’.
Another gushed: ‘So proud of you Leigh! So excited to hear what you have been working on in the studio! Exciting times ahead!’
It was announced in February of last year that Leigh-Anne had signed a solo deal with the record label that is also home to the likes of Dua Lipa.
An announcement on the official Warner Records UK Twitter account stated at the time: ‘Delighted to welcome Leigh-Anne Pinnock to the Warner Records family! Sign up for her mailing list to hear about exciting news first!’
