Legoland to open £35million holiday village in 2024 with 150 lodges & restaurant
LEGOLAND has revealed their brand new £35million holiday village opening next year.
The theme park confirmed that the new Woodland-themed village will open in Windsor by spring 2024.
The first phase of the huge project will include 150 accommodation lodges across the 10-acre site.
There will also be an on-site restaurant, brick-building activities, nature trails, entertainment hub and story-time areas.
It will be the first carbon-neutral operational accommodation built by Legoland.
Prices will start from £249 for a family room that sleeps two adults and two kids, and includes breakfast and one-day park entry tickets.
Karen Glassey, Operations Director at Legoland, told the Sun Online Travel Team: “I’m really excited about the new Woodland village, which adds another type of accommodation to the park.
“It’s really cool. There are going to be 150 different lodges and while they’ll all have the same theme they’ll be divided into animal-themed sections so our guests can find their way around.
“There will also be a restaurant and entertainment on the site giving people a different choice of stay.
“When people stay at our hotels, it takes the pressure off the day and gives them extra time to enjoy all the rides and attractions.
“I’m looking forward to welcoming guests into our lodges – they’ll be the perfect place to unwind on a sunny summer’s evening.”
It isn’t the only exciting new addition to the Legoland theme park.
A new dueling rollercoaster could soon open at the park, with an application submitted to the local council last year.
Legoland has also confirmed other plans, including a new Adventure Golf attraction to open at the theme park this year.
Karen added: “The adventure mini golf is a new attraction opening in the summer of this year.
“Anybody can book to go there, it’s not just for our hotel guests.
“It’s indoors and there will be nine holes where guests can play through the different lego themes.”
The attraction will have four themed indoor courses including one based on pirates.
And the new driving Ferrari Build and Race attraction will open at Legoland this summer.
Kids will be able to go through a “garage” where they can build, test and digitally scan their Lego Ferrari onto the “racetrack”.
They can then race other cars to get the fastest lap tap on the Pista di Fiorano Circuit.
Legoland reopens for the season this week, with families able to visit from March 17.
If you can wait until 2027, Legoland is opening a new theme park in Europe which will be bigger than the UK park.
