Legendary actor appears to be sprung peeking on Rafa Nadal

Hilarious vision from Wimbledon captured Lord of the Rings star Sir Ian McKellen appearing to use binoculars to look at a topless Rafa Nadal.

Gandalf famously said “all we have to decide is what to do with the time that is given us” and for Sir Ian McKellen that apparently meant soaking up every second of Rafael Nadal at Wimbledon.

The legendary actor who played the wizard in the Lord of the Rings films was seemingly caught making a very close inspection of the tennis star as he changed out of his playing shirt following his round of 16 match.

Tennis great John McEnroe was heard laughing as the cameras showed a shirtless Nadal putting on a jacket – and then McKellen looking intently through a pair of binoculars.

We won’t know for certain if the 83-year-old was indeed looking in the 22-time grand slam winner’s direction – or if he was stitched up by the broadcaster – but it was a funny moment either way.

McEnroe shouldn’t laugh though after his history with Nadal.

The American great admitted to seeing the Spaniard naked at the 2019 Australian Open in an awkward on-court interview.

“I’m going to make some people jealous here,” McEnroe said. “I’ve got to be honest, at the end of the second set I had to take a quick bathroom break.

“I was finishing taking this very quick bathroom break when all of a sudden I started to walk out and I saw a naked Rafael Nadal in the bathroom.”

“I thought to myself, that looks a lot like my body. No. Absolutely lying about that,” McEnroe continued. “I said to myself, I wish I had a body like that.”

Quizzed about it later Nadal said he was running short on time so he had been changing. “Yes, I heard someone was there but I don’t have one hour to wait for him to go out,” he said. “I had to change, that’s all.”
