Legend of Zelda Tears of the Kingdom Gets Pirated, Former Nintendo Boss Goes Full Liam Neeson From ‘Taken’ in His Response

We are only a week away from the launch of The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom. The upcoming game is the sequel to the 2017 game, which was also the launch title (and the biggest release) for the Nintendo Switch. Considering the reception of the 2017 game, it is natural for fans to be eagerly awaiting the launch of Tears of the Kingdom. However, things aren’t all going according to plan as the leaked footage of the game has already surfaced online.

While there are fans who have been dying for a better look at the game, the leaks can also be frustrating for some who are waiting for the official launch. Now, ex-Nintendo America boss Reggie Fils-Aime has spoken out against the leakers. Here’s more.

Ex-Nintendo boss trolls user with a pirated copy of Tears of the Kingdom

The former President and COO of Nintendo of America, Reggie Fils-Aime, had to take inspiration from a Liam Neeson character for a response. Reggie was replying to a Twitter user who tweeted a picture of them playing the leaked version of Tears of the Kingdom. Twitter user ‘imahumanandimagamer’ posted a picture of the Nintendo Home Screen with the Tears of the Kingdom installed and ready to be launched, along with the caption “Lol”.

Soon after, Fils-Aime retweeted the post with a dialogue by Bryan Mills from ‘Taken’ played by Liam Neeson, as the caption. It said, “I don’t know what you want. What I do have are a very particular set of skills, skills I have acquired over a very long career, skills that make me a nightmare for people like you.”

“imahumanandimagamer” removed their account soon after, but Fils-Aime had reportedly taken a screenshot of the tweet which he posted in a second tweet. It is not clear how the Twitter user obtained the copy of the game. Regardless, the former Nintendo America boss doesn’t seem to be too thrilled about the piracy and the leaks doing the rounds. As it is, he is a self-proclaimed avid Zelda fan.
