The Toronto Maple Leafs return to the NHL playoffs tonight looking for redemption against the Tampa Bay Lightning.

Without a playoff series win since 2004, including a stretch of six series losses over the last six seasons, Toronto hopes this is finally the year they will break through.

GM Kyle Dubas added to his core of Auston Matthews, Mitch Marner, John Tavares, William Nylander and Morgan Rielly at the trade deadline by bringing in former Stanley Cup champion Ryan O’Reilly, defenceman Jake McCabe and several others.

Game 1 starts at 7:30 p.m. at Scotiabank Arena, where we’ll have you covered with live updates and analysis — plus a look at what’s happening outside at Maple Leaf Square.
