Italian club Lazio have joined the race to sign Chelsea outcast Callum Hudson-Odoi but must battle Premier League clubs for his signature.

The winger is deemed surplus to requirements at Stamford Bridge, and has just one year left on his deal at the club.

Hudson-Odoi made his debut for the club in 2019 and was heavily linked with a big money move to Bayern Munich, before signing a long-term contract with the Blues.

The winger was once viewed as the next star of English football but he’s failed to progress his career in recent years.

That has seen Premier League sides Nottingham Forest, Fulham, Crystal Palace, West Ham and Brentford register their interest in the player this summer.

Fulham have launched an offer for Hudson-Odoi but Chelsea rejected it and are hoping to land a bigger transfer fee.

Lazio are the latest club linked with the 22-year-old and the Serie A side are eyeing a loan deal with an obligation to buy, according to reports in Italy.

Hudson-Odoi, who has also attracted interest from AC Milan, is keen to leave Chelsea as he wants regular first team football.

He spent last season on loan at Bayern Leverkusen in the Bundesliga, where he was looking to revive his career.

But Hudson-Odoi made just 13 appearances for the German club, registering one assist.
